Early Childhood Division (PS - 1st)

The Early Childhood Division for students in preschool through first grade provides a developmentally appropriate setting that fosters emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Classes offer a unique balance of structured, teacher-directed lessons, along with time to learn through peer interaction. Children are introduced to the rich world of literature and are read to daily.

Here the foundation is laid for future academic pursuits, and great care is taken to assess and develop individual skills. Highlights of the program include a strong emphasis on phonics, a fun, hands-on math curriculum, and interactive science and social studies themes of study. Our kindergarten students enjoy the individual reading program and the pride created from emerging reading skills.

All students enjoy the enrichment of weekly classes in art, performing arts, technology, library, and physical education.  Students in full day kindergarten benefit from daily physical education and an introduction to Spanish.

The social development of the children is a top priority. Our small class size creates a caring environment where teachers help children learn how to communicate, cooperate, and build friendships.
